The Lord Nelson

Review- The Lord Nelson Hotel has been lovingly renovated with grand style and its menu re-invented with its specialty being Steak, tapas and traditional pub meals. Winner of the Golden Plate 2014. The meals are world class with their steak menu featuring five premium certified aged steaks with a selection of sensational sauces. The Tapas menu is ridiculously good and makes for a great entree to the main and is a real crowd pleaser. The venue has been restored to its victorian charm with heavy drapes, wallpapers and plush carpeting. An open fireplace in the grand dining room adds a beautiful touch. The larger dining room has a modern edge to the traditional appeal with fresh but heavily patterned wallpaper and coloured seating. A larger and less formal seating area in the back ensures diners won't miss out on a booking. The long Mahogany bar serves an array of Cocktails, beers, cider and wine. The list is extensive and features 'The Three Sheets' and 'Old Admiral' From its Sydney name sake The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel. The Cocktails and spirits are sure to impress with spirits including British Navy Pusser’s Rum, “The Original Admiralty Rum” affectionately named “Nelson’s Blood” Already the pub has attracted a diverse range of followers and is a popular watering hole for the young hipsters They have a large alfresco come beer garden to the side, that draws a good Sunday crew and they often have live music in the afternoon.
